We are a not for profit, non-political, people to people networking organisation set up to recognise, promote and affirm the common values and history of Australia and Britain.
The Britain-Australia Society provides a setting where our members can enjoy the best that British culture has to offer and can celebrate the rich historic, sporting, cultural, language and family links shared by our two countries.
We are fortunate to be under the kind patronage of HRH Prince Philip and are graced with many eminent diplomats, politicians and business people as officers and members of the society.
Our National Office is in London and is supplemented by an extensive branch network across the country. The branches are an integral part of the Society, hosting events to commemorate important occasions such as ANZAC Day and remembering great historical figures like Mathew Flinders and Arthur Phillip. They also help to spread the profile of the Society and offer a strong network countrywide. Currently there are branches in Portsmouth, Norfolk, Suffolk, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Cambridgeshire, Wales and the West Country.
The Britain Australia Society also administers eight other organisations, charities and trusts with bilateral interests:
